How to do mantra jaap?
Mantra jaap is best done in the morning after bathing, sitting in a quiet place. Face east or north, take a rudraksha or tulsi mala and say the mantra once for each bead. A mala has 108 beads. Chant clearly and slowly, and after the jaap sit quietly for a few moments in meditation on your deity. Chanting at the same time every day helps the mind settle faster.
