• The sound-and-light show runs every evening after the aarti.

Shree Somnath on the Arabian Sea coast at Prabhas Patan is traditionally the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Destroyed and rebuilt many times through history, the present Chalukya-style temple was completed in 1951 under Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's initiative. An arrow pillar (Baan Stambh) marks that there is no land between Somnath and the South Pole.

By train: Veraval station is about 7 km away.
