Bathe and wear black or blue clothes
Offer mustard oil, black sesame and blue flowers to Shani Dev
Light a mustard-oil lamp under a Peepal tree
Donate black urad, oil or shoes to the needy

📖 Shanivar Vrat Katha

King Vikramaditya once said that Shani Dev was the least of the planets. He then suffered seven and a half years of hardship – losing his kingdom and being falsely accused. When he prayed to Shani Dev with humility, everything was restored, and he spread the Saturday fast among his people.

🍎 What to Eat During the Fast

One meal after sunset with urad dal khichdi or black sesame sweets.
