नरक चतुर्दशी (छोटी दिवाली) 2027: तारीख, पूजा विधी आणि महत्त्व

In many homes this day is called Roop Chaudas: people apply a paste of gram flour, turmeric and oil before bathing to bring out inner and outer beauty.

Bengal celebrates the same tithi as Bhoot Chaturdashi by lighting fourteen lamps and eating fourteen leafy greens to keep away negative spirits. In South India, Deepavali itself is observed on this morning, celebrating Krishna's win over Narakasura.
